Harrogate Town Ladies FC

After a historic debut season, Harrogate Town’s ‘Invincible’ Ladies team are now preparing for life in the North East Regional Women’s Southern Division.

The team currently train on Wednesday evenings, 6.30-8.00pm, on the FIFA Pro quality 3G surface at our home, The CNG Stadium. Home matches are also played at the CNG Stadium, usually taking place on Sunday afternoons.

For the upcoming season, the club are pleased to announce that there will now also be an open age Development Team. The team will compete in the North Riding Women’s Premier League, and will allow players more opportunity for game time. Most importantly for us, it will enable more players to be a part of our friendly and ambitious club.

Speaking exclusively to harrogatetownafc.com, head coach Jon Maloney has said the following;

“Achieving a 100% winning record in the North Riding Women’s Premier League last year was beyond anybody’s dreams, but the girls delivered consistently excellent performances to record crowds in excess of 150 at our CNG Stadium home.

We are extremely excited about the upcoming season, particularly with the inauguration of the development team, and further focus on our youth development and community work.

With regards to the First Team, we have managed to retain the majority of our ‘Invincibles’ squad from last year, in addition to bringing in a number of new faces which we are delighted to have on board. We will work hard during pre season to have the girls in peak condition ready for the start of our campaign in early September.

We never stop striving to improve, and would love to hear from anyone who is interested in becoming a part of this special group”.

As well as the open age Ladies’ team, we are committed to playing an active role in supporting the development of girls football. The club runs a girls only Player Development Centre (PDC) for those age 7-16. Currently, sessions run on Friday’s 5-6pm. The PDC is designed to complement grassroots clubs schedules, not to interfere, allowing girls to continue to train and play with their local clubs. At the PDC, the girls have access to top quality coaching from the Ladies First Team staff, in addition to special guest appearances from First Team players.
