(Date of Birth):
Town fans will be familiar with Clee, who visited The CNG Stadium several times during his seven-year spell with Altrincham.
Since leaving The J.Davidson Stadium in the summer, the Holmfirth-based winger signed for Vanarama National League outfit Guiseley in May 2016 and has made 9 league appearances for the Lions this year.
Shortly after signing his contract at The CNG Stadium, Clee commented: “I’m really glad to be here. I know a lot about the club and have known Simon for 5 or 6 years now. Personally, I’ve been here a lot as player and to be honest it’s not been a happy hunting ground. I hope that will change now I’m a Harrogate Town player”
The versatile 33-year-old adds a wealth of experience to Simon Weaver’s depleted squad, with a number of players sidelined through injury “I can play in a number of positions. I’ve played everywhere really, mainly on the left but I’ve played through the middle in the past too”
Clee continued “Wherever I play, I like to get the ball down and create things. I’m about making things happen and hopefully I can hit the ground running here”.
Clee was a key man as his Altrincham side won promotion by beating Guiseley in the National League North play-offs in 2014, and is now looking forward to achieving the same feat at The CNG Stadium; “I’ve spent the last few years fighting to avoid relegation in The National League. Now I’m looking to push on. I know what it takes to get out of this league and will be doing all I can to make it happen”
