Harrogate Town welcome Chorley to The CNG Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking for revenge against the side that inflicted Town’s second defeat of the season at Victory Park in October.
Simon Weaver’s men were four points clear of The Magpies prior to that 1-0 loss, but now trail Matt Jansen’s side following a tough end to the year.
2017 has seen Town rediscover their early season form though, and suffer just one defeat in 11 matches since the turn of the year.
Saturday’s opponents sit 4th in the National League North standings, though only goal difference separates them and second place Salford.
Chorley’s cause has no doubt been helped by the second best defensive record in the league, while only Fylde have lost less games than the Lancashire outfit, though The Magpies remain the lowest scorers in the top half.
Weaver’s side could climb to eighth with a win against a side without a win in the last four away games, though just one defeat in eight shows Jansen’s side are tough to beat.
Joe Colbeck and Danny Ellis returned from injury at Gloucester, though Luke Shiels sustained a hamstring injury and joins Dom Knowles and Louie Swain on the sidelines.
