Town to Host British Army Side

The National League and British Army have announced they will field a representative side at Harrogate Town's CNG Stadium on Wednesday 29th March.

The purpose of the match, which is sponsored by Vanarama and S&C Slatter Ltd. is to strengthen existing ties between The National League and The British Army at a recognised sporting event and enhance the community relationships between local member clubs and army units in and around the local area.

Full details of the match will be detailed in due course with kick-off set at 7.45pm and an entry price of £5 for adults, including a match programme, while seniors and juniors will be free.

Brian Barwick, Chairman of The National League said: “This is an innovative approach and we are pleased that with the cooperation of our member clubs we will be able to consolidate the relationships we have collectively and individually with The Army.

"We look forward to three enjoyable encounters on the field and meeting up on the evening in three different parts of the country, thus enabling fans to come and support these matches.

"Our grateful thanks are extended to everyone who is working to make each a success."

Matches will also be played simultaneously at Tamworth and Eastbourne Borough.
